Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy
Effective date: August 29, 2026
Last updated: August 29, 2026
PARTS ISLAND respects copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property rights. This policy explains how rights holders may report content or product listings they believe infringe their rights and how PARTS ISLAND reviews those reports.
Independent Reseller and Trademark Use
PARTS ISLAND is an independent reseller. Unless a listing expressly states otherwise based on documented authorization, PARTS ISLAND is not the manufacturer of the listed product and is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the vehicle or component manufacturers referenced on the site.
Manufacturer names, vehicle names, model names, part numbers, logos, and other marks may appear to identify a product’s source, intended application, or compatibility. Third-party trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Use of a mark for identification does not by itself indicate sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
Site Content
The PARTS ISLAND name, site design, and store content may be owned by PARTS ISLAND, licensed to it, provided by suppliers or rights holders, or used as permitted by applicable law. No rights are transferred to site visitors except the limited right to use the site for personal shopping and product research.
How to Submit a Copyright or Trademark Notice
Send a notice to info@partsisland.com with the subject line Copyright or Trademark Notice. To help us review the matter promptly, include:
- Your full name, organization, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Identification of the copyrighted work, trademark, registration, or other right you believe is affected. Include registration numbers and jurisdiction when available.
- The exact PARTS ISLAND product-page or content URL at issue and a clear description of the material you want reviewed.
- An explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorized, including enough information for us to understand the claimed right and the alleged issue.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for the rights holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Please do not send sensitive identity documents, payment-card information, passwords, or unrelated personal information.
Our Review Process
We may acknowledge the notice, request clarification or supporting materials, review our sourcing and authorization records, contact the supplier or other relevant party, and temporarily restrict or revise content while the matter is investigated. Depending on the circumstances, we may remove or disable access to content, correct a listing, decline an unsupported request, or take another appropriate step.
We may share the notice and contact information with the supplier, content provider, account holder, platform provider, or professional advisers when reasonably necessary to investigate and respond. Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
Responses From Affected Parties
If content you supplied is restricted following a complaint, you may contact us with documentation showing your authorization, ownership, license, lawful resale right, or other legal basis for the use. We may forward that response to the complainant. Restoration is not guaranteed and depends on the facts, applicable law, platform requirements, and available evidence.
False or Misleading Notices
Submitting a materially false, misleading, or abusive complaint can cause harm and may result in legal consequences. Before sending a notice, consider whether the use is authorized, licensed, permitted for resale or identification, or otherwise allowed by law. PARTS ISLAND may decline notices that do not provide enough information for a reasonable investigation.
No Legal Determination
Our review is an operational response to a report and is not a court ruling or legal determination about ownership, infringement, exhaustion, fair use, nominative use, or any other defense. Rights holders and affected parties remain responsible for obtaining their own legal advice and pursuing available remedies.
